CPT-10901 Operations Manager (Retail, Inventory & Business Operations)

Independent Contractor – [eCommerce VA/Senior - Advanced Level] (Remote).

Overview

20four7VA is seeking offshore independent contractors to deliver remote services to clients worldwide, with a primary focus on developed markets such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia.

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Operations Manager to support the Canadian operations of a global eyewear manufacturer with headquarters in the U.S. and production in South Korea and Germany.

This role focuses on ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across retail, inventory, and business processes, while working closely with leadership to improve systems and scale the business. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, data-driven, and takes ownership, with a strong ability to streamline operations and solve problems.

This is a part-time role with potential to transition into full-time as the company grows.

The objective of each engagement is to assist the client in improving business efficiency, enhancing service delivery, or supporting operational functions through high-quality, task-specific services rendered by a qualified contractor.

Scope of Services

Contractors will be required to provide services that align with the following client tasks:

Retail Operations Management

  • Coordinate operations across retail store locations
  • Track store performance and sales reporting
  • Ensure consistent execution of operational processes
  • Facilitate communication between stores and management
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and performance

Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination

  • Monitor inventory levels across products and locations
  • Track incoming shipments and stock movement
  • Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams
  • Maintain accurate inventory records
  • Proactively identify and prevent stock issues

Accounting & Financial Coordination

  • Track sales and operational expenses
  • Assist with QuickBooks and financial record-keeping
  • Ensure accurate alignment of sales and accounting data
  • Support financial organization and reporting

Shopify & Order Management

  • Monitor and manage Shopify orders and transactions
  • Ensure proper order processing, returns, and exchanges
  • Identify and resolve workflow issues in order management

Process Improvement & Systems

  • Document workflows and operational procedures
  • Identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements
  • Help implement systems to scale operations effectively
  • Support leadership in optimizing business processes

Tools & Systems

  • Shopify
  • QuickBooks
  • Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
  • GoHighLevel
  • Inventory / operations tracking tools

Each engagement is based on a defined scope of work and is governed by an independent contractor agreement. Services must be performed professionally, with adherence to any timelines, guidelines, and deliverables agreed upon in writing.

Skills

The Contractor must demonstrate proficiency in the following, depending on the Client’s requirements:

  • 3–5+ years experience in operations, retail, or business operations
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Analytical mindset with ability to work with data and reports
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills
  • Ability to work independently and proactively
  • Strong problem-solving and process improvement mindset

Preferred Experience

  • Background in retail or inventory-based businesses
  • Experience supporting growing or scaling operations
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel for tracking and reporting

Work Arrangement

  • Part-time to start, with opportunity to transition to full-time based on performance and business growth

Work Schedule

  • Contracted Hours per Week: 20 Hours
  • Scheduled Working Days: Monday through Friday
  • Daily Working Time: EST, TBD

Note: The Company will make reasonable efforts to align the Assigned VA’s schedule with the Client’s preferred hours as set forth above. However, availability may vary based on time zones, capacity, and the contracted hours set in this SOW. Any changes must be mutually agreed to in writing through a revised SOW.

Terms of Engagement

  • Contractors will operate under a Master Services Agreement and a Statement of Work
  • This is not an offer of employment; contractors are not employees of 20four7VA or any client
  • All compensation is processed through 20four7VA according to the terms of the engagement
